ARC Team

What is the Advanced Reader Team?

My Advanced Reader Squad is about more than reading books and posting reviews. I count on my Team for feedback on book cover designs, book trailers, and promotional materials. I also rely on them to help me promote all my books whenever possible through whichever avenues of social media they frequent.

What are my responsibilities as a group member?

As a member of this group, you will be given the opportunity to read my books first, usually 4-6 weeks in advance.  By accepting an advanced copy you will promise the following:

  • Agree not to share the ARC with anyone or distribute for your own financial gain
  • Post an honest, spoiler-free review to Amazon on release day
  • If you have other accounts, post the review to one other site (iTunes, B&N, Kobo, LibraryThing, Goodreads, Blog, etc.)

Why are you giving me this opportunity?

Reviews posted on Amazon and other sites have a huge impact on my book’s visibility. Did you know you must have a minimum of 10 reviews and a rating of 4+ to promote your books on some promo sites? That after 50+ reviews Amazon begins to promote your book on their site? For example their “if you like this, try this section”.  You, as a reader, are my biggest voice and have the power to share my books with others; moreover, as George R.R. Martin quotes, “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one.” Books contain wisdom, entertainment, and compassion.

When will I get emails from you?

I will only email you when I have an ARC opportunity for you. And on release day to remind you to post your review.

How will I get my ARC for your books?

We will be using a very reader-friendly service called Bookfunnel. We chose this service because it has a fantastic user interface, you can get the books directly sent to your device, and they will assist you with any problems you have.

What if I hate the book and don’t want to post the review?

We encourage you to post honest reviews and we know you aren’t going to love every book. If you are uncomfortable, email me, or just add comments on the form.

How Do I Sign Up?

All you need to do is subscribe to the Advanced Reader Newsletter. When an ARC becomes available I will email you details and instructions. You can decide to accept or decline. Space will be limited for this group and only active members will receive opportunities.
